Congratulations Tina and Mark

On Saturday June 11, 2011 Tina and Mark were married in the warming house of Iverson Park (Stevens Point, WI) in an intimate ceremony surrounded by their family and friends; performed by Rev. Kelly Hunt

Because Tina and Mark are so family oriented, many of their family members were in their wedding party and had helped make this special day a reality. It is so great to see family rallying around each other for events like this.

Tina was escorted down the aisle by her mom and her dad’s best friend, who took her dad’s place since he was too ill to travel. The family was interwoven into their wedding ceremony. First Tina and Mark honored their parents with a the gift of a simple rose that can say so much more than words can. Followed by a moment of silence for those who were unable to make it, including Tina’s dad. Finally, Tina and Mark included their children with a sand ceremony.

After the ceremony, Tina and Mark greeted their guests in the traditional receiving line, which was followed by pictures outside by the beautiful backdrop that only Mother Nature could provide.

After pictures, the reception started with a buffet style dinner of fried chicken, roast beef, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, fruit salad, and an olive and pickle tray. This bountiful feast was prepared by friends and family in the small kitchenette in the Iverson warming house. I have to say that I was amazed at what those women could do in such a small space and time frame.

After dinner and the traditional wedding cake was served, the dancing started in earnest. It looked like Mark, Tina and their friends and family were bound to have a great time.
So on that happy note, we wish a lifetime of happiness for Mark and Tina and their families.

A special thanks to my son, Zach Hunt, for taking most of the pictures in this blog.
