Congratulations Courtney and Brian!

Congratulations to Courtney and Brian! This fun couple was married on September 24th, 2011 on “Grandpa’s Farm.” Grandpa’s Farm is the inspiration for a wonderful children’s book set on a Central Wisconsin Farm. While there, we were able to see the original water colors used for the illustrations in Grandpa’s Farm.

Unfortunately, it rained that day, but luckily Courtney and Brian were prepared for anything and had one of the farm’s outbuildings decorated and set up for dinner. We held the ceremony in there and we also had a first at this wedding. Courtney did not want to do the typical walk down the aisle entrance, so when the ceremony time came, she simply announced “OK, we’re doing this now!” and everyone gathered around. It started off the ceremony on a great, upbeat note with all the guests laughing and ready for a good time.

The rings are an important part of any wedding ceremony, but for Courtney and Brian they were even more special. Courtney is allergic to many metals and a traditional ring just wouldn’t work. To solve this problem and to give his bride a very unique wedding gift, Brian made their rings. I just can’t think of a more personal and heartfelt gift that could be given from husband to wife and from wife to husband. With these rings, a piece of Brian went into them.

Dinner was a picnic style BBQ complete with hamburgers, potato salad, cole slaw and all the other fixings. Bob’s Catering from the Wausau area served dinner and as always, it was delicious. Bob’s Catering is known for fresh, home style food, served in a variety of ways to make your wedding day complete.

I am not sure who provided dessert, but we had delicious cupcakes in a variety of flavors. These were displayed on a cute cupcake tree.

Our most heartfelt congratulations goes out to Courtney and Brian and we wish them a lifetime of happiness together.
