A Wedding Wednesday Wedding

According to Victorian legend, or superstition, or whatever you would like to call it, getting married on a Wednesday is the best day of all. It is supposed to be the day that brings you the best luck, the best of health and wealth, and all the good things we hope for and dream about. I certainly hope it holds true for Kimberly and Mike, since they had their wedding on a Wednesday at Smiley’s Wedding and Banquet Hall in Plover, which we love because the owners are awesome, the food is delicious, the gardens are colorful and gorgeous, and you can do everything in one location, which is hard to find in the area.

OK, enough about Smiley’s and back to Kimberly and Mike. Kimberly really married the “boy next door” since Mike was the boy who lived next door when they were kids. How romantic is that? And their wedding day was just as romantic as how they met. They chose to have their ceremony outside on Smiley’s gazebo, and they wanted to include a unity candle, but the wind that day was not cooperating and we had to do it inside just before dinner.

Even with that small hiccup, Kimberly and Mike are extremely happy. They got to spend one of the best days of their lives with their family and friends, dance, eat, and be merry. It is hard to dampen the spirits of these two. Even their color choice is happy and exciting: fuchsia and lime. It is hard to be unhappy in all that bright color.

We also got to work with another of our Central Wisconsin Wedding Professional friends: Vaughter Weddings. Lee and his assistant are always great to work with. And I keep watching his blog to see if a copy of some of the video he shot that day pops up. Lee is always professional and so easy to work with.
